The Fastest Growing City

This is where I live. Well, not downtown, but this is nearby. I've been overdue for a while in going out to do the skyline, but I still want to try some other angles and atmospheric conditions. I won't rest until it's and AWESOME shot of downtown...

In other news, I'm not dead. In spite of not posting recently, I've actually done photography for a hot air balloon festival and behind-the-scenes coverage for a national ad campaign contest. Some of that should end up on this blog soon, eh?

Promise I'm still alive - and a little tidbit

It seems like forever since I've given a proper update here, but that's because the Ninety and Nine blog is where I've been posting all of this summer's events (as fast as I can post them, anyway).  Be that as it may, here's a little teaser from Bastille Day in Paris.

Jeeping in Moab

Back in July, my brother and I headed out to Moab for a little off-road fun with his new Jeep.  Here are a couple of panoramas I took, highlighting the lovely red rock and glorifying his shiny new toy.

Note: His Jeep is the speck to the left on the first one.

Balanced Rock - Arches National Park

I spent the weekend hanging out in Moab, Utah.

First of all, I suggest you never go to Moab in July unless you revel in 106 degree weather.

Second of all, I recommend you DO get yourself out there at some point during a cooler month like May or September to see some beautiful scenery.

Third... look, a picture!

This is Balanced Rock, one of the many crazy rock formations in Arches National park.  It's also easily accessible from the road if you don't like hiking.  As much as I like to think myself original as a photographer, there was a guy visiting from Japan right next to me taking a picture of it at the same time.  He had my brother snap one of him in front of the rock while I played with my own camera settings.

Eating in Seattle

Seattle is a good place for produce and seafood.  So I ate some of both

The remnants of my lunch at the Athenian Inn.

A produce stand.

One of my travel companions eating a peach.  Those were really good peaches.

Don't you feel like we've bonded over food now?

This trip really has been pretty sleepless...

In case you didn't know, I ran away to Seattle for the weekend.  On 24 hours notice.

Don't worry, I had a good time and I'm coming back tomorrow.

Taken on the street corner outside of Pike Place market.
